The CHI Health Teddy Bear Clinic will be open for two hours on February 10 for children to bring their favorite stuffed animal in for an exam. While animals receive a full check-up, children will learn about different medical exams and procedures. There will be a procedure room for stuffed animals that need extra care to mend bigger boo-boos.
The event also includes a free wellness screening for children provided by one of the on-site providers, and provides parents handouts about healthy food choices, tips for keeping children active, and suggestions on overcoming the fear of going to the doctor.
CHI Health Teddy Bear Clinic is included with regular museum admission and is free for member families.
Note: A limited number of stuffed teddy bears will be available for free to children who arrive without a stuffed animal, while supplies last.
