Once upon a time...Disney conspired with your parents to lie to you about what really happens deep within the enchanted forest. Behind the «safe for bedtime» stories, a more disturbing truth waits to be discovered but the only way to find it is to journey into the wicked woods.
Nothing is as it seems and nothing quite makes sense in the wicked woods. In fact, very few will make it out alive. Join us for a dream-like surrealist trip through some of our collective culture's oldest stories.

The Golden Squash (Soup)
Garlic roasted squash pureed into a creamy broth soup. As the story goes in this Tibetan Tale, be kind and good and you will be rewarded with a squash of solid gold. Those guilty of envy will have instead be served squash with a crazy guy in it who cuts off your head.
Four-and-Twenty Chickens Baked in a Pot Pie
Sing a song of six pence, a handful of rye… we skipped the black birds though. Chicken and vegetables in a rich cream sauce topped with a puff pastry crust. Who would want to eat blackbirds anyway?
Snow White Berry Apple Pie
Skin white as snow, lips red as...berries? A very sweet berry apple pie with a crumble top. In the original tale, it is not true loves kiss that awakens her, but the prince's servants dropping her casket and dislodging the poison apple from her throat.
Conceived and produced by Elizabeth Pozzi and directed by Kaitlin Maher. Produced with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Dino's Storage, and Yelp.
