Join us for our monthly hike. Quaint Platte River State Park is nestled halfway between Nebraska’s two largest cities – Lincoln and Omaha. Before it was a state park it was two separate camps – Harriet Harding Campfire Girls Camp and Camp Esther K. Newman – and a tract of woodlands.
We'll meet in the trail head parking lot near the Red Cedar Cabins at 9 AM. Daily park permits are $6 for vehicles licensed in Nebraska and $8 for vehicles licensed in other states. Annual park permits are now $30 for vehicles licensed in Nebraska and $45 for vehicles licensed in other states.
Bring a daypack, hiking poles, a light snack, and plenty of water. Dogs are welcome!
Terrain is moderate and the hike will last about 2 hours. Liz and Cory will be leading the hike!
