— Meeting in Community Hall
— Attendees do not need to bring printed off ticket.
The City of Council Bluffs, with the assistance of the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA), will be conducting an Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) assessment to study the barriers to fair (safe, high quality, affordable) housing choices throughout the community. The purpose of the analysis is to ensure that affordable housing is located in areas that provide access to opportunities and that such housing is available to all people regardless of race, family status, disability, source of income, or other personal characteristics protected under federal and state civil rights statutes.
The participation of human service and civil rights agencies in identifying the barriers to housing choices in the city is vital to the development of AFFH. With your feedback and comments, AFFH will be able to provide relevant guidance on public investment and policies that can help to alleviate or lessen the concentration of poverty and reduce racial and ethnic segregation.
Please join us to provide your feedback and comments. If you are unable to attend, please send a representative.
